H.O.L.D. – Helping Out Loggers in Distress

In 2020, the NH Timber Harvesting Council (NHTHC), New Hampshire’s logger and forest products trucker organization co-sponsored by UNH Cooperative Extension, UNH Thompson School of Applied Science, and the New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association, started Helping Out Loggers in Distress (H.O.L.D.)

H.O.L.D. is a program that will provide short-term funding and assistance to families of injured New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association members to bridge the gap until Workers’ Compensation takes effect or other types of funding can be secured. The aid will be in the form of in-kind donations such as gift cards and personal services as deemed by a committee of the NHTHC.

Donations to the H.O.L.D. fund are voluntary and can be made at any time or through a “check box” on the N.H. Professional Loggers Program registration forms.

For more information contact the New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association at (603)224-9699 or email us at info@nhtoa.org. To donate to the H.O.L.D. fund call the NHTOA Office with your credit card information or send a check to the NHTOA with “H.O.L.D. Fund” clearly noted in the memo section. Mail all checks to:
